Prof. Dr. Dietmar Winje

Since 2002, Dietmar Winje is again Professor at the Institute of Technology and Management. He studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technische Universität Berlin, received a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 1977 and a post doctorate degree in Economics in 1982.
In teaching and research, Dietmar Winje is engaged in the areas of
energy economics, energy management, energy systems, water economics
and environmental policies. Dietmar Winje is author and editor of a
number of books and more than 80 publications. Dietmar Winje taught at
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA,
(1982-1984) and at the Technische Universität Berlin (1984-1990).
Dietmar Winje was member and chairman of the board of management of Berliner Kraft- und Licht (Bewag)-Aktiengesellschaft from 1990 until 2002. From 2003 until 2004, he was Chairman of the management board of Nuon Deutschland GmbH. From 1996 until 2002, he was also first Vice President of the Verband der Elektrizitätswirtschaft e.V. (VDEW).
Since 1994, Dietmar Winje served as member and chairman of supervisory boards of several industrial companies and banks. Furthermore, he was Chairman of the board of the Forum für Zukunftsenergien e.V. (1995-2000).
