AIRE – Infrastructure requirements in the context of energy system transformation
What is it about?
"AIRE" examines the effects of the energy system transformation on the infrastructures of the electricity, gas and heat sectors against the background of their technical and economic characteristics.
The goal of the project is to analyse the effects of energy system transformation on the energy infrastructure using model-based scenarios up to 2050.
Based on the existing processes for planning infrastructures and existing systems for refinancing these, needs for action and reform options are to be identified.
